For many of these systems, Toner Cable not only provided the system design but also acted as the onsite system integrator, which required analysis and troubleshooting of existing problems. Customers even asked Toner Cable to provide system configuration and commissioning along with post installation support.
In one recent case, Toner Cable had supplied a turnkey headend installation where the reception of signals and infrastructure wiring was done by a third party company. After months and months of problems, the customer brought in Toner Cable’s technicians for three days to fix the problems. Toner Cable quickly realized that poor work by the third party company, including misaligned satellite antennas, loose hardware on the antennas, crossed L band fiber feeds, incorrectly installed L band amplifiers, over driven optical receivers and overall poor workmanship, was the culprit. In just two days, all the problems were corrected and the customer had excellent quality TV for their customers, eliminating over six months of trouble and complaints.
